John Wesley, founder of Methodism, writes that
One of the principal rules of religion is, to lose no occasion of serving God. And since He is invisible to our eyes, we are to serve Him in our neighbour: which He receives as if done to Himself in person, standing visibly before us.

We believe that love of God is made real in our service towards others; it is an indispensable mark of the faith of Jesus Christ alive and at work in us. Join in the work we have before us, so that God’s will might be done on earth as it is in heaven.
