You are invited to join the Prayer Ministry team in praying this prayer.
Lord, help me to learn your ways. Show me how you want me to live. Guide me and teach me your truths. You are my God, my Savior. You are the one I have been waiting for.
Psalm 25:4-5 ERV
Holy God, Sincerity and truth are what you require; fill my mind with your wisdom. Remove my sin, and I will be clean: wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. (Psalm 51:6-7 GNT) God, teach me lessons for living so I can stay the course. Give me insight so I can do what you tell me—my whole life one long, obedient response. Guide me down the road of your commandments; I love traveling this freeway! Give me a bent for your words of wisdom, and not for piling up loot. Divert my eyes from toys and trinkets, invigorate me on the pilgrim way. Affirm your promises to me—promises made to all who fear you. Deflect the harsh words of my critics—but what you say is always so good. See how hungry I am for your counsel; preserve my life through your righteous ways. (Psalm 119:33-40 MSG)
Lord, thank you for each one who is seeking your wisdom and your way. Thank you for each young person who is on a journey of listening and learning, looking for love and compassion. Jesus said, “Let the children come to me and do not stop them, because the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matt. 19:14 GNT) Thank you for every child of God who wants to know you. Help us to continue following you all the way to Eternal Life.
Lord, you say, “The wise must not brag about their wisdom. The strong men must not brag about their strength. The rich must not brag about their money. But if someone wants to brag, then let them brag about this: Let them brag that they learned to know me. Let them brag that they understand that I am Lord, that I am kind and fair, and that I do good things on earth. I love this kind of bragging.” (Jeremiah 9:23-24 ERV)
So friends, let us take a firm stand, feet on the ground and head high. Let us keep a tight grip on what we have been taught. May Jesus himself and God our Father, who reached out in love and surprised us with unending gifts of help and confidence, put a fresh heart in us, invigorate our work, and enliven our speech. (2 Thessalonians 2:15-17 MSG)
All this we pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine! O what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, born of his Spirit, washed in his blood. Refrain: This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, praising my savior all the day long. H369,words by Fanny J. Crosby, music by Phoebe P. Knapp, 1873.
