DECEMBER 2020 MBUMC FOCUS PRAYER
You are invited to join the Prayer Ministry team in praying this month’s focus prayer.
This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. John 3:16 The Message
Holy God,
Thank you for loving us so much that you sent your precious son, Jesus, to be our Living Word. Strengthen us in our holy habits, that we may be drawn closer to you, to live in your presence with joy and thanksgiving. By daily devotions, prayer, Bible study, worship, fellowship, service and witness, grow us into the call you have on our lives.
Thank you for your promise in Jeremiah 29:11-14a NLT: “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster,
to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you,” says the Lord.
As we accept Christ Jesus as Lord, let us live in union with him. Let us keep our roots deep in him, build our lives on him, and become stronger in our faith. May our lives overflow in praise and thanksgiving. (Colossians 2:6-7 GNT) In Jesus’ name we pray, this day and all the days to come, Amen.
Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong; they are weak but he strong.
Refrain: Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.
Jesus loves me, this I know, as he loved so long ago,
taking children on his knee, saying “Let them come to me.” Refrain
Jesus loves me still today, walking with me on my way,
wanting as a friend to give light and love to all who live. Refrain
