JANUARY 2017 MBUMC FOCUS PRAYER
You are invited to join the Prayer Ministry team in praying this prayer.
Come near to God, and he will come near to you.
James 4:8a CEV
Holy God, I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from you, Lord, who made heaven and earth. You watch over me and keep me from all harm. Lord, you keep watch over me as I come and go, both now and forever. (Psalm 121:1-2,5a, 7a, 8 NLT)
Listen as Wisdom calls out! Hear as understanding raises her voice! Joyful are those who listen to me, watching for me daily at my gates, waiting for me outside my home! For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord. (Proverbs 8:1, 34-35 NLT)
As we begin another year in faith and in fellowship with you, Lord, and with your people, stir up in us desire to live a life of love, joy, thanksgiving and great purpose, to honor you in your kingdom. Here in this church fellowship, thank you for those you call to serve as trustees, those who lead as a part of church council, and those who volunteer their witness, and their gifts of time and talent.
O Lord, one day at a time, be my hope, be my joy. O Lord, one day at a time, be my light, be my peace, be my strength. O Lord, one day at a time, be my savior. Thank you, thank you, Lord. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen
I am weak, but thou art strong; Jesus, keep me from all wrong; I’ll be satisfied as long as I walk, let me walk close to thee. Refrain: Just a closer walk with thee, grant it, Jesus, is my plea, Daily walking close to thee: Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.
