You are invited to join the Prayer Ministry team in praying this focus prayer.
and go to a land that I am going to show you. I will give you many descendants, and they will
become a great nation. I will bless you and make your name famous, so that you will be a
blessing. I will bless those who bless you, but I will curse those who curse you. And through you
I will bless all the nations. Genesis 12:1-3 NKJV
O Lord, when we pray to you or cry out to you, we seek your favor and protection, your
compassion and your love. We need your help and approval. Sometimes we are lost or in the
pit; sometimes we are mired in disbelief or confusion. We need your Word and your Way.
Sometimes we are ill or hurting in mind, soul or body. We need your healing touch.
Sometimes we must leave our country, our home, our relatives, our comfort zone to see
our blessings, to receive our blessings. Deep in our whole being we want your blessings.
The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to Aaron and his sons saying, ‘This is the way
you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them: The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord
make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon
you, and give you peace.” ‘ “So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will
bless them.” (Numbers 6:22-27 NKJV) Thank you, Lord, for teaching your priests, pastors and
people to speak your blessings into those we meet, generation after generation.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every
spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3 NKJV). God has made us
what we are, and in our union with Christ Jesus he has created us for a life of good deeds, which
he has already prepared for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10 GNT). First of all, then, may our petitions,
prayers, requests, and thanksgivings be offered to you, God, for all people. (1 Timothy 2:1
GNT). Let us be concerned for one another, to help one another to show love and to do good.
(Hebrews 10:24 GNT). Let us not forget to do good and to help one another, because these are
the sacrifices that please God. (Hebrews 13:16 GNT)
Even as we receive our blessing from you, Lord, we are also called to be a blessing for
others. Let us speak blessings into one another. Let all of us be of one mind, having compassion
for one another, love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous. For the eyes of the Lord are on
the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those who
do evil.” (1 Peter 3:8,12 NKJV). May it be so in Jesus’ name, Amen.
God of grace and God of glory, on thy people pour thy power;
Crown thine ancient church’s story; bring her bud to glorious flower.
Grant us wisdom, grant us courage for the facing of this hour, for the facing of this hour.
Lo! The hosts of evil round us scorn thy Christ, assail his ways!
Fears and doubts too long have bound us; free our hearts to work and praise.
Grant us wisdom, grant us courage, for the living of these days, for the living of these days.
