NOVEMBER 2015 MBUMC FOCUS PRAYER
Please join the MBUMC Prayer Ministry team in praying this prayer.
Since you have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord, live in union with him. Keep your roots deep in him, build your lives on him, and become stronger in your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6-7 GNT
May God pour His grace and blessings into us and turn His face to shine His light on us. So all those on earth will learn to follow your way and see your saving power come to redeem all nations. May all people live to praise you, Our True God; may all come to praise you. May all nations celebrate together, singing joy-filled songs of praise to you because you judge the peoples fairly and give guidance to all the nations of the earth.
May the people praise you with their whole hearts, O God; may every man, woman and child on earth praise you. The land has provided a bountiful harvest, and the True God, Our God, has poured out His blessings to us all. God is the source of our blessings; may every corner of the earth respect and revere Him. (Psalm 67 The Voice)
Lord, as we name our blessings and offer our thanks to you, we thank you for the leadership and faithfulness of those who offer their gifts in ministry to this faith community, especially Mike Ellis who leads Men’s Ministry; the women who co-ordinate Women’s Ministry and Sandra Bordelon who leads the Staff Parish Relations team. Lord, thank you for the time and talents of each member who works with Sandra: Homero Montalvo, Ruth Jeffers, Mariann Condron, Norma Peters and Linda Best. Lord, help us to discover how you have also gifted us, so that we might serve your kingdom and your people.
Since we have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord, let us live in union with him. Let us keep our roots deep in him, build our lives on him, and become stronger in our faith, as we were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving. (Colossians 2:6-7 GNT)
We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Here in this place new light is streaming, now is the darkness vanished away,
See in this space our fears and our dreamings,
Brought here to you in the light of this day.
Gather us in – the lost and forsaken, gather us in – the blind and the lame;
Call to us now, and we shall awaken,
We shall arise at the sound of our name.
