You are invited to join the Prayer Ministry team in praying this prayer.
We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work for something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan. Romans 8:28 (The Voice)
Holy God, You are our God and we are your people. We all try being on our own sometimes, thinking we can do things by ourselves. But we can’t. You have affirmed your commitment to us many times in your Holy Word. “I will claim you as my own people, and I will be your God.” (Exodus 6:7) “I will walk among you; I will be your God, and you will be my people.” (Leviticus 26:12) “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10) O God, you have said, “They will be my people, and I will be their God. And I will give them one heart and one promise: to worship me forever, for their own good and for the good of all their descendants. (Jeremiah 32:38-39)
The apostle Paul begged the Ephesians and begs us to lead a life worthy of our calling, for each one of us has been called by God. Let us always be humble and gentle. Let us be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of our love. Let us make every effort to keep ourselves united in the Spirit, binding ourselves together with peace. For there is one body, and one Spirit, just as we have been called to one glorious hope for the future. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all. (Ephesians 4:1-6 NLT)
O Lord, increase my faith, strengthen me and confirm me in thy true faith. Endue me with wisdom, charity, and patience. In all my adversity, teach me to say Amen; in all my adversity, teach me to say Amen. (Orlando Gibbons, 1583-1625, music, 1925, E.C. Schirmer Music Co.) In Jesus’ name we pray, “Amen.” “So be it.”
We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord (X 2)
And we pray that all unity may one day be restored:
Refrain: And they’ll know we are Christians by our love, by our love;
Yes, they’ll know we are Christians by our love.
All praise to the Father, from whom all things come,
All praise to Christ Jesus, God’s only Son,
And all praise to the Spirit, who makes us one: Refrain
